Ball bearings series 6000

We sell 6000 series ball bearings in stainless steel.
 
  The properties of AISI-304 and AISI-316 stainless steel which, due to their austenitic structure, mean that they cannot be subjected to heat treatment to give them the necessary hardness as in conventional steels.

  This fact means that we need a stainless steel with a martensitic structure to which we can give treatment, which can reach 60 HRC with a surface hardness similar to other steels.
 
In this case, AISI-440C quality is used to manufacture these stainless steel bearings, which, although it does not have the same anti-corrosion properties as austenitic stainless steels. Its content of 17.5% chromium and 0.7% molybdenum means that it has very similar PRE corrosion resistance values “PRE Table”.
