The Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Radial Brush consists of a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide and flexible, yet firm, molded bristles that provide greater surface contact than metal brushes. These brushes retain their abrasive properties throughout their useful life.
Use the Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Brush to remove paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, corrosion, heavy oxides and surface contaminants from large areas on various metals. The brushes feature our 3M™ ceramic grain blend with aluminum oxide and molded, flexible yet firm bristles that offer greater surface contact than metal brushes. We have designed them to last longer than metal discs or other abrasives. The abrasive remains consistent throughout the life of the product and works well on a variety of metals, e.g. aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, etc. The ceramic grain is a mineral designed through a 3M process to increase its hardness and resistance. Scotch-Brite Bristle discs are made of aluminum oxide mixed with ceramic grain. The result is one of the most resistant and durable minerals that exist. They are ideal for removing heavy materials. Ceramic abrasives are designed to cut fast and cope with high heat and stress applications. Ceramic grain outperforms aluminum oxide abrasives in cutting power and durability. It can be used for industrial finishing and grinding. Scotch-Brite Industrial Abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into nonwoven nylon or synthetic fibers. The combination of abrasives and fibers creates an abrasive system that offers uniform results throughout the life of the product. The open mesh material generates less heat and is resistant to clogging, preserving the high cutting performance of abrasive minerals by reducing fiber clogging.
